Doc Workshop #16:
8 Reasons to use your Cell Phone to film

Do not overthink the camera

In the beginning as an emerging filmmaker you might worry too much about the camera, what you need to buy, and how to begin getting great cinematographic shots.

Don't get too bogged down by the technical aspects of cameras and audio equipment when you are starting out, otherwise this can impede you from moving forwards.
You can build up a fear of not being good enough, not knowing enough, not having the right talent.
That it will take too long to learn. NO! Not true.

  • It is cheap, and already in your pocket!
  • It captures wonderful HD images
  • You can use it anywhere, anytime
  • It is so small many subjects will feel more at ease
  • Use it hand-held, on the go, with minimal set-up
  • Can use addons like Filmpro to enhance the experience
  • With a little extra you can get lens and stabliziers
  • 4K capability
Get practicing, and do as many tutorials as you can. www.udemy.com is great, once you buy the course, it's yours for life.
